I literally switched to PS Vue two days ago.

Couldn't stand Sling because it randomly went black screen or went to the guide/menu on its own.

Couldn't stand AT&T Now because it's AT&T and the DVR sucks. On top of that they increased the cost of my plan by 30% starting next month.

PS Vue video quality is great, DVR is great, and the multi channel view is excellent for football.

YouTube TV lags bad for sports so I'm canceling. I have Eatel's gig service so don't blame the internet, it's the service as a whole.

I'm about to try PS Vue but I'm also considering a jailbroken Nvidia Shield if anyone has some experience with it?

I have a regular Nvidia shield with Vue. I find the sporting events mainly football isn’t as crisp as normal tv. It’s not as bad as standard def but it’s not that bad. It’s funny because I can turn on the ESPN app and the same game is in crystal clear HD. The WS looked great last night on Vue. It’s weird.

Microsoft is too much of a direct competitor to consider such a move, but Google might be inclined to absorb the whole thing, perhaps incorporate parts of its interface, but more importantly add the subscribers to their YouTube TV numbers for a discount.

jailbroken Nvidia Shield

You don't have to do any of that with Nvidia Shield - just add the browser of your choice and sideload things.

Unless you define "side loading" as jailbreaking.

Jailbroken is a term used for apple products. I think you mean "unlocked."

Why would you need or want to unlock an Nvidia shield? You have full android out of the box.
