Building and looking for a good resource to help determine what size screen, type of projector and distance from screen to setup. Anyone have experience with a good company or a good online source. I am in Alexandria area but willing to reach out to Laf/BR/Shv if need be. Not sure if anyone in Alex.

At my last job i bought a laser projector that is short throw, so it is set close to the wall it’s being projected on. It was great and well received by staff. It was a Dell and cost $3000-$4000.

I recently built a true “home theatre” room with dedicated screen, surround, and projector.
Projector Central
Hands down, Projector Central is the best resource out there when trying to determine what projector you need!
First, get a budget.
Second, measure how much room you have from projector to the screen. This will help you determine the throw ratio you have to work with.
Then go on projector central and start filtering projector results based on those criteria. They have much more filters you can apply to help you widdle the list down to “the one”.
Make sure you do a lot of research. There’s a lot involved.
Or get somebody to do it all for you, lol.
Acadian Home Theatre in BR is good if you want somebody to do it all.
I have also used Advanced Audio and Integration in BR (they have bad reviews, but I didn't have a problem with them - they did a good job on my set up).
