Yes, not just smarter than me as a 7 year old gifted, but exceptionally smart in every sense of academic proficiency at his age.

Check FB marketplace for a pi, you can get them an older one that hopefully someone doesn't have marked up out the arse.
There's some visual programming apps that come with the OS, and a ton more you can download, not to mention learn how linux works. If he breaks something, you can reimage from a windows computer in 5 minutes and start over. I think a 3 and up will run a minecraft server as well, if he want's to impress his friends.

A Raspberry Pi starter kit might be awesome for him.
in addition to the raspberry pi, an arduino/elegoo board would also be nice. and they're in abundance on amazon on the cheap.
autodesk also has a free web browser CAD program called "TinkerCAD". he can both draw 3D models and create Arduino mockups where he can both write code and associate the code to LEDs, switches, and all kinds of other stuff.

The minecraft code link is awesome. Will try and get my son to take a look at.

I was invited to a summer programming course when I was in elementary in the 70s. Fortran and punch cards for a 3 week course. I only really remember being impressed at seeing a computer that took up a whole room.
Any “genius” that caused the invite left me when I hit puberty and stepped onto a football field.

Y’all need to learn to read context clues. He’s a math genius in a non traditional classroom and a situation that involves his teacher having close contact with his family and tracking him over the summer.
He’s an autistic kid with an incredible gift for math and coding, he doesn’t need a baseball glove. Get him something like this Raspberry Pi thing and stoke that interest, he could end up being Steve Jobs.
