Pre-loaded Kodi on Amazon fire stick, questions

Parents bought a fire stick from someone at work that was preloaded with Kodi.
Kodi, works great, but mo other apps on it.
Seems like it came loaded with a pre-logged in amazon account. Can I log into their amazon account without it accidentally deleting Kodi. The main goal is to get the netflix app...
I realize, they over paid for this, and I could have probably installed this for them, but this is after the fact. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you can log out of the original account and log into another. Kodi isn't attached to the user account. Only apps you installed from Amazon will go away(not get deleted, just won't appear).

Yep. The only issue will be if a dummy app that serves as a redirect was added to the home screen. You will have to make sure that is added back

Thanks appreciate it. I'll look into the dummy app.
Kodi works well for them, they just want the option of Netflix.

The link below explains how the dummy/ redirect app works. Its not hard to setup, but would probably need to be redone/ added when switching accounts.

Edit: the linked method is required if the box is not rooted.

The way this one was installed, requires going into settings and starting, external installed apps. No home screen option. There are no apps listed under apps from the main screen.
Sounds like it's good to go, then I can link kodi with the provided link, and place on home screen.
