Power station for tailgate help

For those that use these, what brand and size do you guys go with?

You just need to know what you want to run. Look on the device for peak and running power. Add it all up and make sure to get one that can provide max watts and have the capacity you need. Maybe add in a 20-30% buffer over the required amount. Ex. You want to run your 100W TV for 5hrs you would need a capacity of 500Wh or ~40Ah. If you also have a smoker that has a startup draw of 300W you want to make sure you can handle that short surge as well.

Man a 1000w suitcase generator is quiet and can run all day on a gallon of gas. That's hard to beat.

Why the snarky responses about gas generators, expect that from the OT or outdoor board, but not here.

To answer you question, all depends on what you are running at your tailgate. That said something like this should be able to handle a small tailgate easily.
