Playstation Network Issues

Recently my PS3 has been giving me issues, it will not connect to the playstation network. The other day it had me change my password, which has never been changed, and then today it won't log back in.
Is there an issue with the PSN or is my playstation finally dying? I've had a dang thing about 5 or 6 years now. I only use it for Netflix and DVD's since it stopped playing Blue Ray years ago.

there has been an ongoing issue with PSN for the last few days. Someone said that it made them change their password also. I know that Playstation said there would be a Maintenance on Monday, but it started on Friday it seems

It was down 2 days ago but was working earlier today.

Me too!! unplugged every cord I could find on my router and playstation bc my friends were able to get on and play.
