I am looking for some help/advice from Pixel 3 users , i am gonna try out pure google for the first time since i was rooting and romming my HD2 just ordered a 3XL. I currently have a Note 9 which is a fantastic phone i have zero complaints awesome device. I've been a long time Galaxy user and the idea first popped in my head to try pure google after the Note 7 debacle which mine had no issues and i loved the phone...
Fast forward and to make a long story short to keep the thread from getting too boring, Wifey works for Tmobile and i get 2 jumps a year and if i don't use them i lose them and they just got the Pixel available to them so now is a good as a time as any to try out Pure Droid. I know ill lose alot in the hardware Dept, not concerned with that and also the internal storage will suck at 64gb i've spent the last 2 days backing everything up to the cloud.
My questions are what are the pros/cons and if anyone has advice on what apps to use or disable that cause issues with the phone. This jump is purely Software based, although Samsung's new UI i think is great. Any help/advice appreciated. Thanks

Well my wife has the note 9, loves it. I've got pxl3 and I love it. It is a great stock experience. Battery is nowhere near the note 9 but it lasts all day and that's all I really care about. Plugging it in with 35% or 50% doesn't really make a difference to me. Wireless charging is different because Google is greedy.
I do enjoy Google Assistant a ton. Camera is awesome.

Thanks for the response, yeah I charge mine every night. Do you know what makes the wireless charging not compatible with say a Samsung wireless charging pad?

I was iPhone for years. Switched to the Pixel 3 and love. Google Assistant is the best voice recognition on the market. Works nicely with my Google Home/Nest products as well.

Made the switch from iPhone to Pixel 3 not too long ago. Love it, but I have seen some drawbacks.
Wife has problems with calls dropping, I do not have any problems with calls.
Speakerphone can get a little static from time-to-time, but nothing worried about.
Sometimes have problems connecting to my car, but I just have to restart the phone.
If I have a bad wifi connection, I get duplicate texts messages. Also, I send duplicates.
With all that said, I do not regret the change.

That's pretty bad arse, I don't use mine nearly enough but with that type of speed I may need to turn into one of those people.

Also make sure you go to settings and turn off digital well being. Makes the phone so much better.

I am liking it so far after a few days with it, I mean it's not a major shock like coming from an Apple phone. I am having to get used to where everything is again in stock Android but the phone is really fast and snappy. The faster voice texting is awesome I don't even know if that was on my Samsung phone or not but with that feature enabled it is crazy fast pretty impressed. The battery life has been about the same as my note 9 so far so it's adequate enough had 50% left today after a 12hr shift, the camera is pretty good too but that is also taking a little getting used to using Google photos and such when before the phone just stored in the gallery on my note and I think the note gallery app was easier to navigate. I'm sure at some point I'll miss the s pen but so far and hasn't been an issue. Overall I am pleased and it is a good change up from a Samsung phone since I've been having Samsung phones for the past 6 or 7 years or longer. I'm eagerly awaiting the pixel 4 to see what improvements they have in hardware and software before I buy my next phone which was going to be the note 10, but so far I am enjoying.

I have the pixel 3 for about a month now. Still learning its' functions. Does "digital well being" slow the phone down? How does it make the phone better by turning it off?
