Photoshop experts, help needed with layering

So I’ve been tasked with a challenge. So you have an image like the one below but you want to replace the invitation with one you designed. I know photoshop is pretty smart these days but I’m not sure it can do that…essentially put an image behind elements of an existing images that is not made up of layers. The image is already flattened (just one I found off the internet) so I can’t move layers around. Is that possible? I’m decent enough with photoshop but not sure where to start with this one. Thanks for any help!

It's been many years since I've messed around with PS, and a few years since I messed around with GIMP, so I'm sure someone is going to come behind me with vastly better advice.
With that said, just to get you going: I'm fairly certain what you're going to need to do is select elements of the image and use them to create new layers, then order them as needed. The individual image will dictate which elements are necessary/easier to create new layers from. Do some googling regarding current selection tools in PS which will help you, or automatically, create the selections needed to then create the layers.
Layering is layering; it's the selection tools that have gotten really smart over the years.

Layer masks- that's what you wanna do.
You'll need to manually trace around the shoes, edge of invite, the wedding ring, and jewelry.
If you don't have a high resolution copy of that image, it i'll be much more difficult.

Ding, ding. Insert your invitation as a new layer and then mask around everything else. If you have the latest version neural filters might be able to short cut this process.

Object select works pretty good these days.
You'll have to free transform the invitation you created.
