Paging CAD - having an issue with a HUE light bulb

First of all, for those of y’all who are in this thread who don’t know me or CAD, I just want to thank him for putting me onto the HUE products. I absolutely love lighting up my house with their products, and this guy is the one who introduced me to them, showed me where to find them, and even sold me a bulb or two personally... anyone considering smart lighting for their home should go with philips HUE products, they’re top of the line.. sorry if that’s corny, I was just trying to make this thread useful/interesting
Anyways, I have 6 bulbs in my living room, and one of the ones in the ceiling randomly today said ‘unreachable’... I didn’t troubleshoot too much, but I didn’t turn them on/off and also reset my internet/router.. I haven’t had any issues with my internet today, so is it safe to assume that this bulb is dead? There are 6 other lights on this switch, and they’re all getting power, so I don’t think that’s the issue.. I’ve had them for roughly 2 1/2 years
Also, while I have your attention, do you know of any deals on the gen III bulbs right now? Might have to replace this one, and could use possibly one or two more around the house

I have close to 30 bulbs. From time to time I will get a few that randomly go “unreachable”. It usually only last a little while and they come back. I don’t exactly know the specifics of why but it’s never really turned into an issue for me. At a minimum you can try just resetting your hub.

If you can't control it turn it off and see if it comes back.
If it's burned out you might be able to get hue to send a replacement. Give their customer service number a call and be nice
and you might get them to send you a new one.
Zigbee is fickle and likes to be paired "where it will live". If you moved the bulb or hub recently try resetting the bulb and pairing again. Usually hue will find your old bulb id in the app and it will just start working again. It won't pair as a new bulb.
When I had hue bulbs go out it was generally in a closed light and they got overheated. They would blink or go on and off and would behave if turned off for awhile but would go right back to acting up.
Does the bulb work when turning the device on and off?
