I think you can use any Home Assistant cameras in HomeKit if you decide to be a crazy person.

$200 g5 bullet is a great camera
The $129 g5 flex is pretty decent, too. Their expensive cameras are for insane people

Thanks for talking me off the ledge. I was trying to justify getting the AI one with a license plate reader. Haha

Synology can work with Apple/Homekit now and they're a great company that is good at writing good, reliable software.

Oh, wow. I need to pay attention when I post. The g4 bullet is $199. I have watched several side by side videos and think the g5 is somewhere between “no drop off” and “slight improvement.”
And when watching them vs the Pro, there’s definitely a difference, but it isn’t a 3x price difference. The audio quality on the pro is still pretty insane (actually watched a video just a few minutes ago of people taking something out of my father in law’s camp’s yard and laughing about how “they’ll never know,” and their speech is nearly as clear as if they spoke into a condenser mic on an audio track.
But going back (and forward), I’ll go basic bullets over the Pro unless I just feel like spending money.
