the back is like this...

So i am trying to hook a LG Blu Ray Player with usb to the tv. The Blu Ray Player is HDMI only.

I brought this to hook it up

tried every input = didn't work

WHAT AM I MISSING??? WHAT ELSE IS NEEDED??

I just want this in my empty room to watch stuff off of my Toshiba 1TB hard drive.

i don't see why that adapter wouldn't work, but this should work too... LINK

have you tried other video rca components, like an old dvd player, to see if those work? i don't know if the tv rca inputs could be bad or not, i wouldn't think so, but i'd try another device with rca cables and see if that works.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes i tried different RCA CABLES, i got like 5 of them & they worked with an OLD DVD Player. Hell even a VCR.

I guess i'll order the HDMI to RCA Cable, HDMI to RCA Converter Adapter Best Buy Audio Extractor Jacks Cord (black)

If that don't work, i guess i'll just buy a smart TV. I just hate to waste a good old tv that's like brand new.

It didn't work because it isn't able to strip out the HDCP copy protection. This is good for a computer with HDMI output to a component input on a display.

It doesn’t work because it’s only a one way converter. Your input is the blu ray player, so you need a converter that has the hdmi as the input and the component connection as the output.

This one would work LINK
