I'm the same way. 150Mbps internet went up to $90 with Cox. I got cable included last week and it's now $102 for cable and internet combined.
Only reason i got the cable was to have access to the sports channels, as well as access to all the on demand content. it was an extra $18 for DVR service and the box. Instead of paying that, i can just wait until the next day and watch any show i want with a few commercials like Hulu. Gave up on Kodi and needed some way of "dvr"ing the shows the wife and i watch.
I literally only watch live sports, and maybe the news, which i get through my antenna. And the picture quality from my antenna is better than cable.
It also makes me question the "It's costly to lay and keep up cable" arguments. Which is it really? I mean, if ESPN is $8 of my bill now that I have cable, but wasn't $8 when I just had internet....? Which is it?

They keep mailing me some very tempting offers to go back to DirecTV and reattach the cord. The free Sunday Ticket alone would keep $275 in my pocket.
i took them up on their offer and have been very satisfied. no hidden fees, 2 year locked in rate, and reliable service thus far (7 months)
