Needing new router for 2800 sq ft 2 Story home. (I keep modem & router upstairs in office)
I would love to keep it under $200, but realize that may be a stretch.
TIA

I just setup a Linksys Velop about a week ago. So far, so good. 2 unit mesh network for $180.

I have been using the ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router for several years and will stick with asus brand when the need arises. 2800 square foot one story house and very pleased with the coverage. amazon link
Neighbor across the street says he gets a strong signal from mine and if I would give him the password, he could buy more booze.

Mine is several years old and does very well. Interested in your comment and wonder if problems have occurred. Not trying to start a debate but am curious.

The ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router is based on the 9 year old 802.11n standard. For $90, you can find a much faster router based on the current 802.11ac standard.
