New Nest Wifi vs. "Old" Google Wifi

I see that Google just recently announced (not yet released) a new Nest Wifi. My household currently uses the 3 puck Google Wifi to blanket our home.
My question becomes, should I upgrade the main Wifi router since it seems to be faster? I see that the new Nest Wifi works with the old pucks and such.
Is the upgrade in speed worth it for my home that has about 30 things always attached to Wifi? We stream all of our TV content and such as well.
Thoughts?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. My connection at home has been stable and very fast with the 'old' pucks so no need to upgrade just yet.
If you want them because they're new, pastel colored and aesthetically pleasing, I say go for it!

Yea I hear ya. I guess I just don't know how much of an "upgrade" the main router is from 2x2 AC 1200 (current Google Wifi) vs. the 4x4 MU-MIMO 2400 (new Nest Wifi).

How many wireless devices do you have pulling major data at once? Only the 5ghz band is 4x4, the 2.4ghz is still 2x2.
Personally I wouldn't buy any router that isn't Wifi 6 (AX). The AC standard is being reclassified as wifi 5.

Good question I'm interested in hearing the answer.
I was thinking about getting an extra puck for some time now, but now they've announced this it would be better just to get the router and move the puck that is currently the main one to the place I want it.

I generally stream Hulu with live tv on 2-3 TVs. Plus I have 3 nest cameras that are always on. Those are probably the biggest consumers of bandwidth.
But I also have Sonos's (5) throughout the house, ipads (2), cell phones(2), laptops(2), google home hubs (4), etc.

I have some friends looking to get a mesh unit and I was waiting for the info on these to come out. Do y’all think it’s worth waiting for them...It seems it, should be faster. They don’t use any kind of assistant now that so that’s a moot point.

It seems like waiting will be better/faster but only for the main “node”. The other nodes appear to have the same speeds and such (minus the new nodes having “hey google” baked in to them).
