New iPhone will only receive texts and not send

I got a new iPhone in today and no matter what I try I get message send failures for sending texts. Am receiving texts, can make calls, and use internet on Wi-Fi and data. Can anyone help? I am already about to launch this thing in my pond

Settings>Messages>Send & Receive.

I shows my email and my phone number twice. I try to check off one of my phone numbers and it just keeps circling trying verify

Maybe it’s trying to send you a message (no pun intended).

Try turning iMessage off and then on again.
