1- Depends on monitor.
2- Display port is normally needed for over 60 FPS but really depends on HDMI version and resolution.
3-I'd imagine it is not.

Even if you were to OC the monitor and it isn't meant for it you'd likely run into other issues. G2G times, color accuracy, flickering, etc.

Id suggest either upgrading the monitor or turn Vsync off both in game and in the Nvidia control panel. Vsync will cap your frame rate to the monitor's refresh rate. IE: 70HZ will only see 70 FPS. There are downsides to this but will allow for more FPS.

If I turn off sync won’t I experience tearing ?

If you turn off Vsync and leave Gsync on....the only way you may have some screen tearing is if your GPU is able to push the frame rate higher than the monitor's refresh rate.

It's a trade off.
Would you rather perfect frame transitions but low frame rates...Vsync on
or
Would you rather higher frame rates, but at the cost of maybe some screen tear?
