Trying to set up a system on my grandpa's TV so he can watch his beloved St Louis cardinals games. Anyone have any experience with any of these devices and the mlb app. I read the fire stick buffers alof. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The MLB app on the new apple tv is loaded with features and extra content if you think your grandpa would take advantage of them. You can watch 2 games simultaneously
and live stats

it works great on the roku but i like the guy above me wrote apple tv just invested bigtime in making their mlb.tv app legit.
I assume you mean MLB.tv, not MLB network.

Are you serious about the firestick? Just got one today so I can load kodi on it and I had a 50 dollar gift card to best buy... That stinks.. What is your Internet speed and how far away are you from your router? Thanks

Thanks, I'm going to spend a little more and get the apple TV. I doubt he'll use any of the features he just likes to watch and listen!

May be the easiest for his grandpa to use. They also made a big deal about the games streaming at 60 fps and 1080p on the Apple TV. Is that not the case on other platforms?

i have no idea. Apple TV is brand new i believe to offer mlb.tv so that is why there's is probably the best. They just have the most recent update.
I'm sure it will look great, but if he isnt going to use it's add on features i wouldnt pay extra for it.
The stream on roku is great. Looks just like TV.

I read the fire stick buffers alof.
I have 4 firesticks and a firebox all running in my house and the only time I have any buffering issues is when I have a bad stream on kodi, or need to update the kodi software or channels. I have a 150 mb down and 15 mb up connection and have no issues running 4 of the sticks at the same time without buffering.
If you are getting one though I would get the firebox over the stick.

If you have Ethernet run to the tv equipment location, highly recommend getting the box over the stick.
