Microsoft Power Point Question

I have copied a slide from one presentation to use in another and after saving and closing my computer I’ll open up the file and the background format has changed. Does anyone know why this happens or how to lock a slide so that it doesn’t change the background format?

Locking a background is a much requested feature. See here for example LINK Forum discussion on locking objects
There's also a $40 dollar product that will lock etc called Shapelocker LINK Shapelockerbut am not familiar with it.
This may not be what you are looking for
LINK 4 options to protect a powerpoint but it is a possible solution.

Does it have anything to do with the master slide for where you copied it to?
