Looking to get a drawing tablet for kid (tween)

Does a lot of drawing on a cell phone, but want to give the nephew an upgrade for Christmas
Want wifi access to get those apps and a good pen for drawing on the screen

I don't know much about drawing tablets. But I do know Wacom is one of the big names in that space. The Intuos S is their entry level tablet.
A drawing tablet is a peripheral. It's the input device an illustrator would use. Based on your wifi comment, you might be looking for a tablet (like an iPad) on which the kid can draw. If that's the case, ignore this post
