Looking for new laptop recs

I'm leaning towards either a Surface Pro or a 2-in-1 model like the Samsung galaxy book2 pro 360 but could probably be talked into something else if its better.
I have no desire for an apple computer.
I like the idea of the tablet/laptop hybrid but not versed enough to know how reliable they are.
It would be used mostly for basic home use but occasionally I need the ability to handle large excel files and run Power BI.
I'd prefer the keyboard to have a 10 key but I already have a wireless keyboard for my current home office set up so its not a make or break kinda thing.
Currently I have a basic HP laptop with 8 GB Ram and an i3 gen 7 processor. Nothing is wrong with it but I believe its time for an upgrade.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Have you read the reviews on the Samsung?
Samsung website
I bought a convertible a few years ago. It was a cheaper ASUS and the hinge eventually failed. A more expensive model may hold up better. Im getting a dedicated laptop next. It doesn't feel like a tablet when you use it like a tablet.

https://frame.work/
I bought one a few months ago (12th gen i7-1260P) and happy with it. If you read reviews, the biggest complaint you'll see that battery life is below average. I'm not disconnected from power often/long so it's not a big deal for me.
I went with Framework because I love that I can upgrade/repair every major component. Also, pretty cool that you can change the 4 expansion ports to whatever config you need.
The risk is if the company folds but it's no different than if I buy a Lenovo/Dell and it craps out after a few years.
People who bought last year (11th gen) are able to upgrade to 12th gen just as promised. You just buy a new mainboard and replace the old one. Framework even provides plans for a 3D printed case to turn the old mainboard into a mini computer.
I'm hoping they release an OLED/HDR screen next and a better battery which I'll upgrade in the future.

This is the first website I've seen that had the reviews below 4.3 so I figured it might be a good one.
You might have a point with the failing hinge possibility and I'll just need to go with a dedicated laptop instead of a tablet/laptop configuration.

It looks like it won't come with a bunch of bloatware that everything else seems to want to throw on to new machines?
I opted for the DIY edition so I provided my own memory, M.2 drive and OS. Installed Windows 11 and no bloatware; only what I choose to install. I assume if you let Framework install Windows it should be free of bloat but not sure really.
From the forums, alot of people install various Unix flavors too if that's your thing.
There is a pretty active subreddit if you want to read more reviews, complaints etc:

Check out the Lenovo Yoga series and also Dell has a bunch of 2-in-1 offerings at different levels.

Went with the frame.work. Got a DIY version i5 and then grabbed 64 gb ram, and a venom8 1tb ssd off Amazon. Saved 500 or so off their price. Ordered it on December 23, and it arrived yesterday. Put it together and installed windows 11 in about 20 minutes. This thing is so cool!
