Just for business related.. emails, internet searching etc. I Have always used MacBooks and iMac so I want to stick to that bc I feel it’s very user friendly
Any recommendations on screen size or memory size, must haves etc
And also, what about virus protection. Do y’all recommend just getting best buy to set it up or somewhere else?
TIA

If you're just looking for a basic email/internet laptop and want a Mac, just grab the base model MacBook Air with M1 chip and maybe bump the storage capacity up to 512GB for any extra files you might need on it. The new M1 platform is a real game changer for Apple laptops.
It's decently priced starting at $999, is thin and portable, has a great screen, barely generates any heat, has no moving parts (completely silent -- no fan noise or drive noise), and is very power efficient with an excellent long battery life.
The new charger tech out there now is great, this $20 charger is tiny and does a great job of charging my M1 MacBook Air. At $20 you can pick up a few and always have a charger nearby.
I also recommend Anker's USB-C hub to get any extra ports you might need. Out of the box, the MacBook Air only has USB-C ports.
I would recommend not bothering with antivirus products at all, personally. If you do end up getting an infection, I'd suggest installing Malwarebytes free trial, cleaning up the infection, and then uninstalling.

Apparently you need to familiarize yourself with the wattages of your charger and what the hub is using. The first 3 reviews are a bit scary.

Edited the link... don't know how I copied the wrong one, but I have a different Anker hub (the 555) than the one that I first linked (the 341). It's troubling to hear that the other hub fried some laptops, though, as Anker is usually high quality stuff. It does sound like Apple released an update that blocks it from functioning dangerously though, and the 555 hub (with ethernet) I have doesn't have reviews with that complaint, fortunately.

I'm with Efrad. Get an M1 air. Upgrade the SSD if needed. Forget anti-virus--waste of time and processor cycles. .

I have a Surface Laptop i7 hopefully being delivered on time, today.
I've had this Surface Book for 5+ years and now I'm handing it down to one of the crew trucks at the office.
We also have a Surface Pro in the field and a 3 year old Surface laptop in the office. All with intel chips. I haven't had any issues out of any of them.

Also, the iPad is a formidable option here, so is even the Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra or whatever it's called.
The new iPad Air has an M1 chip if you're looking for a cheaper solution. The iPad Pro 12.9 is a top of the line option with an amazing screen.
Again, just an option as I realize it doesn't fully check off the box of "laptop" but for what you mentioned, it does all of those well.
