Looking for a camera that is waterproof

I've bought various versions of the Olympus Tough line of cameras over the years for that and have been relatively pleased with everything except battery life. I would always wind up having to bring extra batteries and swap out during the day.

However, cell phone cameras have gotten so good I'm not sure I'd buy another specialized point and shoot camera. Search for "waterproof dive cases" and your phone model on Amazon. I've never done this but for my next vacation I'd strongly consider it, especially if you have a recent iPhone or Galaxy that's already water resistant.
