The real deal is the 100 dollar geek squad remote programming.

Is there any real difference in this and the 650?

I have no clue..I don't even have one but saw this on the best buy site and have seen several threads here about these remotes and just thought I would share the sale..

Hard to program? I can't imagine paying $100 for someone to do it.....

Just ordered one to pick up after work. Tired of seeing remotes everywhere and having to use multiple ones. If it's fairly easy to use I'll probably get another one for my room.

Will this work with a fire tv and PS4?

After a quick google...it doesn't look like it. Damn I shouldn't have ordered this thing. Guess I'll cancel.

before you do that, do some research on the Harmony remote and Flirc (LINK).
as I understand it, it should allow you to use a Harmony with a Fire TV.
last year my dad gave me a Harmony 700 he never used and I was about to order a Flirc, but really don't watch much TV. I only used the Harmony as a remote for my tv because the remote my tv came with sucks (it's a Seiki).

I canceled but I'll keep considering it. I hope the remote stays on sale a little longer until I make a decision.

Also, if his tv is CEC compliant he can control the fire via the TV interface instead a direct connection to the fire. It's not as smooth but if you aren't playing games on the fire it isn't an issue, for me anyway.

Got it. So neat. Gonna have to map out buttons now

What devices are you controlling with it?
I tried searching on their website to see if it would connect to my ATT U-verse DVR but nothing came up. I assume it would right?

Firetv. I just went to the cec menu on my Vizio and it found all compatible devices hooked into the hdmis and it started working

My fiances dad has a harmony that he uses to control a Fire TV, Comcast DVR, and Onkyo audio receiver. IIRC, he also had it working with a Uverse DVR initially but then switched cable providers. Just FYI.

So you have a fire stick and a Vizio and got it to work with the 700? shite guess I'm reordering this thing.

Can always return it if I don't need it right?

I don't feel like dishing out a ton of money for a harmony set. I don't spend that much time on entertainment or at home for that matter.
