It's weird to me that Kindles aren't bigger than they are, because they seemed huge when they came out. For me, it's just so vastly superior to "real" books.

The size is my only issue. I love how it looks reading it, but I just can't get over how small it is, even compared to paperback books. I've been using a 10 inch tablet as a reader for a few years so it's exaggerated for me.

I've had my Oasis for almost 2 years. Battery is ok, definitely doesn't last as long as my old Paperwhite. I can get 3 weeks of daily reading w/o recharging.
If I have the light on, but in airplane mode, I can maybe get 10 hours of reading. If it's not in airplane mode, less than 5 hours.

I actually like the asymmetric design. I usually hold my Kindle with one hand. To me, it's easier to hold that bulkier side with 1 hand as my fingers can kind of wrap around it. Now for someone who holds it with two hands, I can see that feeling odd.
I usually hold with one hand too, but it's still easier for me to do that with the other design.

I also like to set it flat - e.g. on the food tray in your plane seat. It's just ultra-aggravating in that instance that it lists to the side.

I was referring to size as opposed to popularity, but do you remember when they first came out they had the really big one?

With regard to the actual size, I think it's effectively perfect. It can fit into back pockets and the like.

Right, but that's not a Kindle. That's a tablet.
