Pretty sweet. Using Asus AIMesh. Was super easy to set up. My parents have a big old house with metal chimneys, brick walls, etc…
Some parts of the house that are closer to the router actually get a worse signal due to what I assume are the items listed above. Anyway, we’ve had a hard time finding even a pricy router that gets a signal to the living room where they watch the most tv.
We usually use ASUS routers so now that they have the AIMesh feature. Took the two routers I bought for them and had been testing out and set up a mesh system with 1 router and 1 node. Voila and now the whole house has a minimum of 250mps download which is fine for them. On the 6ghz upstairs in my dad’s office he is getting 1gbps download speeds over WiFi which is insane for me to see.
Anyway, coming here to learn more about AImesh and any tips tricks I may not have thought of and how it may work going forward. Currently I have an AXE7800 as the router and an AX3000 as the node. Obviously you can mix and match.
Curious what it would take to get 1gbps download speeds throughout the house. Would I need a 6ghz router in every single room or something?

Ya pretty much or a 4x4 client. Or wifi7 with 2048 qam. Decent wifi6 setup should get 600mbps pretty much everywhere.

Short of wiring the ones you can back to the hub or daisy chaining them, I'm yet to get above 650ish on devices in my home..Running four, two upstairs two down..Have them connected on the 6band

Also have Asus and use the mesh as well. I like the functionality of their app as well to control all of them
