Im sorry in advance about the length of this post, and I appreciate any help that can be provided.
So I bought a prebuilt gaming pc last year and it worked fine up until recently. I was installing an update for a game i play when all of a sudden my pc froze. I turned the pc off, waited a minute and turned it back on. Before i could even type in my password to log back in it froze again. A friend of mine said i should try turning off the power source on the back of my pc, then unplug it from the wall, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in.
That seemed to work as i was able to log in and check to see if i had any updates. I completed the recommended updates and thought I was in the clear, but as i was loading up steam it froze again. This time not only did my pc freeze but my mouse, keyboard and monitor turned off as well.
I don’t know what i should do at this point and any tips/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Tl:dr my pc has been freezing for some reason even though its not even 6 months old

safe mode, uninstall those updates or roll back to a previous version of whatever game.

Overheating and locking up? Sounds like what happened when my water-cooler pump died.
