Is there an efficient and free malware cleanup for Mac Computers?

Sophos free home edition - the first scan takes a while after that runs in the background.
Used it for years no issues and finds malware.

Download the free version. Once every 6 months, you'll a message when you run it asking if you want to upgrade to the paid version. I've never done that. The free one works fine.
I run this every 3 months or so and it'll usually find something once every 6 months.
