I was recently transferred to a new small department that has no real infrastructure.

So far it runs mainly off 3 excel spreadsheets, that could be combined into 1 table with 40 column headers.

What I'm wondering is of there's a tableau style database/dashboard Creator that essentially understands that each row is an entry, and creates a data entry page with those column headers.

I don't feel like jumping back into beginner Access and manually doing everything. I figure there has to be a new way where intelligent programs can predict "based on the table submitted", choose default layout options, and then press new to enter new records.

basically to create a simple record entry tool

I can do it, just wondering if anyone has a better way.

Access used to have wizards to create entry forms. If it’s just a single table, just use the table interface.

You can use powerbi for the dashboards.

I have successfully used the Google forms to google sheets option but unfortunately a little more leg work to get it back into excel as you are limited to google sheets using Google forms. I have also used monday.com platform to create a poor man's data entry form that could export to excel. Can also set up all kinds of triggers that occur upon data entry.

Also, there is a data entry screen you can open within excel. Your best option is probably making small relational database and not a giant flat table if you are going to go as far as form for data entry. Then use something like power bi for other users to interact with the data.

Why not leave it in Google sheets? Works great.
