I see that you like it on the front because you often use your phone while it's laying on your desk, but I think that's kind of a rare habit. I would wager that more than 95% of all cell phone use is done with phone in hand.

Personally, I would never buy a phone with fingerprint scanner on the front unless the entire screen could scan AND as long as there was also a scanner on the back. I swipe down on the back scanner to drop the notification panel dozens of times per day. It is a completely natural one-handed movement and much less awkward than repositioning your hand to swipe the screen. I keep my phone in my pocket, so I can unlock and swipe down the notifications before the phone is even in front of my face.

Convenience bro.

If you're considering a Pixel I would advise against preordering. Just wait a couple of months until closer to Christmas. I got a Pixel 4 last year from Best Buy for $399, a couple months after release.

Don't pay full price.

Didn't they remove the unlimited full size Google photo backup with the 4? I have the 3XL and I like having the automatic full size backup of my kid pics. Does that come back with the 5? I'm debating between the Note and the 5

Wait for Black Friday. I got my Pixel 3 direct from Google in 2018 for $150 off ($649).

I'm glad that rear finger scanner is back but I wish they'd stuck with the longer second lens rather than an ultrawide.
