People call me and they get the voicemail box is full message.
I’m looking at my voicemail and there’s like 5 messages in it and even the “deleted items” is empty as well.
Anyone have a fix for this? I googled and there doesn’t seem to be a good answer.

Sounds like your ISP is possibly also storing your voicemails and it's possible that inbox is full. Call up whoever you get your phone service from and make sure they aren't the ones giving the message to the people that call you.
P.S: I have 0 clue how voicemails are handled on Cell Phones these days, it's all so integrated in 2023, but back in the day Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint were the ones that took in the Voicemails and it was up to you to basically "dial-in" to them to retrieve them. (I believe most phones bypass this now, but it could be yours isn't, or I'm just mistaken?!)

Wife had a similar issue awhile back and found out the issue was her google storage was at 100%. Had to download and clear out some videos to get new e-mail & voicemail

Since this is an iPhone it could possibly be the iCloud storage as well
