Iphone not holding a charge

Iphone 7 seems to be losing battery power quickly. What are the settings I should check or change to improve battery life?
And help me out on options to keep it powered when the phone can't be plugged into an outlet (charging cases, portable batteries, etc.)

Replacement Kit
I used a kit to replace my iPhone 6 battery. It was pretty easy to do, and the instructions from ifixit are great.
Is your battery still really bad in low power mode with the screen brightness turned down?
What about when you turn off wifi or Bluetooth?

Just as a side note, be careful if you are using long non-apple charger. Sister's phone died from apparently using a 10 ft charger that killed the battery.

My 6s has been dying with battery at 40-50% left after a few hours of being off the charger. Can't decide if I wanna swap battery or just upgrade to a new phone
