I just got a new iPhone. So updated iOS for probably first time in a while.

On my last one I had it set up where first time you unlocked your phone for the day was the only time it asked for passcode.

I had Face ID set up for some things. But to simply look at my phone I had all that turned off.

I remember it being a pain to find last time. But I am unable to find this setting now.

Does anyone know if that is still an option?

I'm not sure exactly what you want to accomplish, but poke around in Settings > (third group) Face ID & Passcode. Should all be in there.

Goal is to set the frequency of how often Face ID or passcode is required. It used to be set on first wake up I think. I’ve been all over that area and found nothing.

Not sure what you mean by third group.

Within settings, the tabs are grouped. The first group starts with airplane mode, the second with notifications, the third with general. It’s in that third group.

Or you could just search within settings for it specifically. Whatever is easier for you.
