My current iphone is having issues with the charging cable. When I plug in the cable to the phone, I have to move it all around to get a connection to charge and if I pick up the phone the cable fall right out. The cable no longer "locks" into the phone. The phone does this with all types of charging cables.

Is this something that can be fixed or is a new phone needed?

Thanks.

When I put the cord in it feels like something is stopping it from going all the way in. Like something broke off and doesn't let the charger go in to make full contact.

It's lint. Use a toothpick to remove the lint. I've had to do this for my wife's and my daughter's phones. If you put your phone in your pocket or a purses, odds are this will eventually happen

Use compressed air and a toothpick. Electrical contact cleaner can also be used to help loosen anything built up in the port.

Thanks for the responses. Used a toothpick and that solved all issues
