Any thoughts on this?

VPN
Siri
Apps

Could any of you go over some basis on protecting iPhones.

I normally am safe and don’t click on anything but tigerdroppings.

But that got me thinking in how blind links can put you in peril etc.

I can certainly screw up. But additionally I want to keep my mom from getting scammed again.

Can a vpn insulate you from horrific mistakes?

Simply put... A VPN just routes your traffic through a third party middleman so the source of your traffic cannot be easily identified without a court subpoena, which becomes more difficult if the VPN is in a favorable foreign jurisdiction. It also mixes your traffic with others' making it more difficult to find out specific information about you via tracking.

If you click stupid shite you still deal with the consequences of inviting stupid shite onto your device. It's not going to stop you if you are dumb and give out sensitive information.
