Is it worth it to spend $50 to replace the battery in a 5 year old IPhone 5s?

Personally, I wouldn’t. Just buy something off swappa that’s in your price range

You can get the battery and tools for $11-20 on Amazon. I put a cheap new amazon battery in a 5 about a year ago. It's my 80 year old dads phone so he doesn't give a shite as long as he can make calls and text

Just buy a battery on eBay for around 7-10 for it and do it yourself.
It is easy enough that I recommend to anyone. Most come with the tool you need. I am telling you, it's super easy..
Better than spending freaking 50 bucks.. and those batteries work great. Just check over the reviews of the seller.

Do make sure you are buying a 5s battery though and not a 5.
It absolutely does matter.
Again, make sure you are purchasing a 5s battery for a 5s phone.
Don't spend $50 doing it through apple or whoever.. You could sell your phone, even with a bad battery for like at least 40 bucks.. and even use the 50 bucks you would have spent on a battery to just get a 100 used upgrade.
I have purchased several batteries for phones off eBay and they all work GREAT.
Here are a few links I haven't purchased from these sellers, just showing you)
