Not sure it it's 13 related but it seems like I noticed this since upgrading from an 8 a few months ago.

I'll start a text to someone I KNOW I have a long history of texting with, but haven't texted in 5-6 months - and randomly, that contact is gone from my phone.

I'm typing their first or last name and the list that pops up doesn't have it.

I haven't had that problem with my iPhone13, but recently my wife's iPhone8 deleted several contacts.

I’ve had three users complaining about losing contacts from their iPhones in the last two weeks. I had chalked it up to accidentally deleting them or something…. Curious if there’s anything to it.

It opens after an update or when a new phone purchase. I always do a hard back up and then an iCloud backup. Then a few weeks later I try to call someone and I realize I don’t have their numbers.
I have so many damn contacts that it’s bound to happen
