i agree but for a different reason if you read what i wrote above. i see it more as proper behavior akin to silencing your phone so your video won't be ruined by music you didn't realize was still playing..particularly if its coming from your car radio.

the fact you can simply go turn it back on seems to indicate google isnt worried about copyright but who knows.

in any case nanny-state is out of control. stop protecting me from making a video with music in the background.

Given Apple’s relationship with the music industry, it’s not surprising if that is the reason you can’t do it on the old phones. I guess we will see if they patch it out in the next updates. Still works in 13.2 beta.

dont they also disable the camera when you're inside music venues or did they back off that?

I have no idea, I don’t go to big concerts where that would be a concern.
