Would I regret getting an iPad without cellular?

I am dreading the $20/month more than the $1300 for the device.

Anyone have a strong opinion either way want to share? TIA

I am unsure what the price difference is now between wifi only and cellular/wifi. If the difference is not significant, then you may want to purchase the device with both then you always have the option of adding it to a plan or not. I have always had wifi only with no issues and could tether to my iPhone if needed but rarely have.

Will you use the iPad more than 100ft from your iPhone and need internet access regularly?
If no, no
If yes, if this nets you < $240 enjoyment per year, still no.
If yes but it nets you more than $240/y of enjoyment, it pays for itself.

My ipad and iphone share the same unlimited data plan. I've had that system for years with 10GB/month instead of unlimited. When I got a new ipad a couple years ago something happened and the cell service wouldn't work on the ipad. The ATT store said only Apple could fix it. Since I'm usually around wifi I would just use the hotspot for my ipad if necessary.

Last week I upgraded my iphone for the first time in a few years (11 to 15). This time the guy at the ATT store said he could fix it and he did. They don't offer the same plan, but for $5 more per month than I was paying I now have a new phone and unlimited data. I also got an iwatch for $0.99 a month included. Haven't fooled with that but if it uses data it's part of that plan, too.
