iOS update - now I hate back button. Fix?

Updated to iOS 14.3 and now when I use the back button in Safari on my iPhone, or swipe back, the page reloads and goes to the top. This bugs me on Tigerdroppings. I want it to go back to how the page looked when I left it so I don’t have to scroll down to get to where I was before.
Any fix? Have I stated the issue clearly? I don’t recall it doing this before I updated.

Strange....It doesn’t reload the page for me.
