Well at 1080p it is. 4k will blow all of those away
Here's the review I read when I saw the TV in Sears last year. I see the price has dropped a lot. I guess if you want to get one just to say you have a 4k tv.. go for it.

A friend of mine has one. Loves it. Claims they're low-balling the price for now to get distribution/word of mouth, then plan to increase at some point in the future...

A friend of mine, 20+ years, was their VP of Sales until a month ago. They are dumping them because they are already antiquated. Newer sets will use the new HDMI 2.0 specifications, not the current 1.3a. It has nothing to do with market positioning.
Honestly, though, for editing purposes or as a computer monitor it is fine, although at 30Hz your eyes will be stressed over a few hours of time watching it. 60Hz is really where you want to be and this set can't do that.

c. Serious component reduction processes; sure, the panel's got the appropriate amount of pixels, but the image processing will leave much to be desired -- or maybe it won't to you. Consider it to be the 4K version of your typical slapped-together Walmart Black Friday barebones TV with the stampede-inducing price, where Joe Mullet just sees pixels, inches, and price tag, and neither he nor his 9 barefoot kids will even begin to give a shite or understand the differences in black levels, or that the cyan is a little more saturated, or inconsistent motion blur, backlight bleed, etc.
I love reading your posts.
