My wife bought a bunch of halloween decorations that make noises but they are all controlled by a push switch on each individual piece. So my options are either to run a wire to each switch back to the house and look out the window at each trick or treater or just set up a PIR.
I've never messed with electronics other than just running simple wires. I've tried to google PIRs as i was hoping i could buy some type of all in one that i could just attach to replace the existing switch. But it looks like I'll need a PIR sensor and then some type of control module to then interpret the signal to tell the light to turn on and off. Is that right? Anyone ever mess with something like this to have an easy fix?
Thanks

Just reread what you posted. These don't have motion activated sensors that would go off when someone approaches?

You might need a controller for them all. I haven’t got too deep into it but I had read of others doing some cool things on This Halloween forum. Maybe that have some ideas posted already.

Nope. Pretty crappy as a base product... but figure it would be “fun” to play with at this point.
