I cut the cord to Hulu live back at the end of November. Now every month I use over 1 TB of data. I have tried everything. I am only streaming on 2 devices (usually only 1). I was using 2 fire sticks. After month 1 I started making sure to put them in sleep mode when not using. Then month 2 I lowered the video quality from best to good. Finally I swapped 1 firestick to a Roku. Nothing seems to help. 20-25 G a day even on one device. Any suggestions or advice? The data overages suck.

I've got 27 devices connecting to my router and have never gone over 200 GB.

Make sure you back out of what you are watching to the home screen I have heard it can continue streaming if you don’t. Also check your video quality, you may streaming at 4K rates and don’t need to be.

8 hours a day for 1080 streaming should use up about 25 gigs a day

I average around 800 a month with 2 tvs on hulu, and a ton of cloud cameras. Only went over 1 month out of 8 so far.

Unplug your modem or put it on a smart plug when it's not in use until you get a better understanding of what's going on.

Thanks for feedback. So far it seems like live streaming just burns data like crazy. Going to try more on demand and see if that reduces usage

Best advice is to close app when done and stop streaming if not actually watching
