Does this thing pass through high quality HDMI signals, I've always worried about that breaking up HDMI signals via boxes unless I'm 100% certain.

Just installed one last week.
It works as advertised. The only problem I have is it uses a separate app for the HDMI sync only. If you want to use it as a stand alone light, you have to switch to the normal Hue app, thus making you turn both off via both apps when its time to turn off the TV. Kinda aggravating, but its worth it IMO.
I haven't tried it, but if you have a secondary HDMI out, you can connect to that instead of going through the box then to your TV. I have a 2nd monitor output on my amp that can be used for that.
