How to stop pop ups that complain about my pop up blocker?

Isn't that the entire purpose of the pop up blocker? If Fox News and CNN can figure out how to write pop ups that ask me to turn off the blocker, how long until advertisers start doing that?
BTW, I use Chrome with a few extensions (Ad-Block, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo).

I'd swap to firefox. Seems to have better performance and better for privacy.
I'd also uninstall adblock and install ublock origin. Much better in my opinion.

quote:no not for the advertisers to do. they don't control the webpages nor pay for ads that are blocked. page owners are the ones who lose out on the revenue so they're the ones who have to handle it.

ad blockers have led to more embedded ads and other creative methods. We need a good middle ground so the ads aren't so intrusive.
