How old is too old when looking to buy an Apple MacBook/iMac?

There's a few for sale in the Facebook marketplace, but they're still relatively high unless I go back to around the '08 or '09 models.

I have a 2010 macbook that I just upgraded with more ram and an ssd, new OS as well. runs like a new laptop.

I'm sure they still run great, but when you look at it, you will be using almost 10 year old tech. Save your money a little longer and get one that's maybe a couple years old.

cool. i'm not looking to do much with it. i was thinking about doing some youtube gaming videos so the most i'd be doing is video editing.
