It's funny because it's true.

Do you think YouTube is illegal? Serious question

YouTube has so much copyrighted content that it should've been deemed illegal along time ago, but it's hasn't why? Because it's legal to watch streams online.

actually YouTube is way worse for copyright infringements. They actually host the illegal content. Kodi just finds a link for you and let's you play it from a source like YouTube which is hosting it

I don't. And YouTube regularly removes copyrighted content.

actually kodi is just the media player, the apps inside kodi are the ones that find the links for you. But I know what you meant.

again, you can't argue that watching copyrighted content on a stream not authorized by the content provider is legal. that's just factually incorrect. and yes, there are thousands of ways to watch illegally streamed content. I believe we all know and can agree with this at this.

my original questions is when will someone lean on amazon (or ISPs) to have them block apps that allow for illegal streams. and the only argument i get back is "well, it's nbd because you can do it on youtube/other ways"... That doesn't answer the question. I feel like Tucker Carlson with you idiots!

YouTube takes due diligence to remove copyrighted material and responds to copyright claims by intellectual property owners so they cannot be blamed for illegal content they host via safe harbor clause in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

When will someone lean on Toyota for allowing people to die in car crashes?
When will someone lean on Home Depot for selling axes that can be used in murders?

Content used to be in physical media and was copied legally(VHS & CD) . Now people are worried about digital media being copied? Nobody can stop this unless they turn off the internet. I use kodi strictly for my TV show/movie viewing. It's free, great quality, and convenient. Nothing can compete with it so frick them.

IL look into the IPTV subscriptions. They are all HD and far cheaper than any cable /satellite provider.

I don't even use my Kodi. I just torrent the stuff I want and store it on my external hard drive.

Put Kodi on your laptop? Run laptop to TV?

Amazon Fire is just convenient and inexpensive - it isn't the only way to get Kodi content.

Majority of people I know do not use KODI as their primary source of tv.. only a supplement to what they already have.

I only go to Kodi when what I'm looking for isn't available on Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBO Now. I'm the opposite of a "leech" - I'm an overpayer, if anything. Half the time I have the disc somewhere, but it's easier to stream.
