I'm renovating a home in Bay St Louis and looking for a contractor to set up automation for the home. Looking for lighting controls, HVAC, cameras, security. Anybody have a contact or recommendation who can provide system and set me up.
I have a complicated C4 in home I just sold in BR, but sold all electronics with it. Spent tens of thousands on AV and home automation. Don't want to do that again. C4 was great for integrating multi-room AV (5 rooms) but I'll forgo the major AV investment on this go-round. Spend more time fishing?
Lastly, I'm not so good on the DIY spectrum though. Need to pay for set up.

however, you will have to adjust to the fact the devices sometimes disappear off the network and you have to re-add them.
on the plus side, you won't be spending anywhere near 5 figures on getting it going. i think you would be fine to DIY.
i was on the fence about hue originally due to cost, but i would highly recommend looking into that as part of your system. you'll find all kinds of applications for the colored lights once you have them installed.

hue lights over the kitchen island changes to yellow then red as it gets closer to time to catch the bus.

Thanks CAD. I'll reassess, skeptically.

very simple.
her bus comes at 6:43am every single day like clockwork. i think we're near the start of his route.
so i worked backwards:
schedule 1: at 6:33 MTWThF it turns from soft white to yellow
schedule 2: at 6:38 MTWThF it turns red
schedule 3: at 6:50 MTWThF it turns back to soft white
