Has your number ever showed as SPAM when calling people?

I've been told a few times that my calls almost weren't answered because it showed as spam. I don't know how this happened, I don't make all that many calls and I definitely don't spam call.
I chatted with my provider (Google Fi) and the only remedy? I have to lower my "spam ranking" by spam calling people and asking them to mark my number as not spam.

maybe a spammer was spoofing calls with your number? I've thought about that before when I get calls from random numbers that actually show as a person in my caller id, but based on the voicemail was obviously spam. I always wondered if that person eventually would get added to the spam list and have trouble calling people down the road.
