Looking at getting an Icom 52A hand held, but also checking out the Rfinder B1 plus. Tell me what you like or dislike about them. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with either of those devices, but have you checked the user reviews on eHam.net?

No. I've checked a few other places though. I guess I'm interested in how the day to day users like the features in each.
ETA. I'm interested in the DMR just don't know the pros and cons of it. I've used Echolink and like the various forums they have.

Yeah I’m not familiar with those specific radios either, but Icom is generally regarded as one the best manufacturers out there. I’ve never met anyone that purchased a radio from them and was disappointed.

This reminds me to go to youtube university for my AT-D878UV PLUS, It's bound to be good for something besides WX.

Wait, there’s more to HAM radio than listening to weather updates?

Well the Rfinder can be used as a cell phone, analog radio, digital internet radio. At 1000 bucks it's pricey but the reviews are great.
Just wanted to see if anyone here had actual experience with it or the Icom 52.

I have an 878 and a ft3DR. No exp with the 52. I have used the 878 way more than the Yeasu. DSTAR and Fusion are nice, but I find myself using DMR more. I have two ID5100s and don’t even use dstar on them bc there is no dstar traffic on the local repeaters.
