Getting local channels on Roku TV

We got a new Roku TV and went through the setup to add local channels with the rabbit ears that we have. Local channels like CBS/NBC get added and you can access them on the live TV channel guide, but then the problem is after an hour or so those channels disappear if you go back to the Home Screen and then go back to the live tv channels. Then I have to add local channels again but then they keep on disappearing. Suggestions on how to avoid this issue? Thanks!

you might be looking at your "favorites", which is why it doesn't appear anything is showing up.
I was having a similar issue where channels weren't showing up, but they would when i turned it off and turned it back on. For whatever reason when i would hit the left arrow button while watching my locals to see the "guide", it would default to the "favorites" and i had never added any, at least i thought i didn't.
I don't remember how i fixed it but i did, but that was essentially the issue.
